Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Life

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
