Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities report that a ex- physician stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.

Details of the Serious Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

The Police Inquiry

The charges come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
