Netflix Casts Perfect Star for Bentham in One Piece Third Season

Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. This character has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that figure reimagined as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer is joined by a number of recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to reality, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the desert kingdom.

Though the role is a key figure of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this marks a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the narrative framework.

Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is due to premiere for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
